Abstrak

Pemeriksaan eritrosit urin merupakan salah satu parameter penting dalam urinalisis untuk mendeteksi adanya hematuria maupun kelainan sistem kemih. Keterlambatan pemeriksaan sering menjadi kendala di laboratorium, karena eritrosit mudah mengalami lisis atau perubahan morfologi sehingga dapat memengaruhi akurasi hasil. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas Netral Buffer Formalin (NBF) sebagai fiksatif dalam mempertahankan jumlah dan morfologi eritrosit urin pada variasi penundaan waktu pemeriksaan 0 jam sebagai kontrol, dan variasi waktu penundaan 3 jam, dan 6 jam. Sampel urin dikumpulkan dengan metode purposive sampling, kemudian dilakukan pemeriksaan sedimen eritrosit menggunakan mikroskop cahaya. Analisis data menggunakan uji Dependent Sample T-Test untuk membandingkan hasil pemeriksaan pada tiap interval penundaan.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan NBF mampu mempertahankan stabilitas eritrosit urin hingga penundaan 6 jam, dengan perbedaan jumlah dan morfologi yang tidak signifikan secara statistik (p > 0,05). Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa NBF efektif digunakan sebagai fiksatif untuk menjaga kualitas pemeriksaan eritrosit urin meskipun terjadi penundaan waktu analisis
