Efektivitas Serbuk Daun Jeruk Purut (Citrus hystrix) dan Daun Salam (Syzygium polyanthum) sebagai Repelen Alami Kecoa (Periplaneta americana)

Kecoa Periplaneta americana merupakan serangga pengganggu yang berpotensi mencemari makanan dan lingkungan sehingga pengendaliannya penting dalam kesehatan lingkungan. Pemanfaatan bahan nabati yang memiliki aktivitas repelen dapat menjadi salah satu pendekatan dalam pengendalian kecoa. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis dan membandingkan efektivitas serbuk daun jeruk purut (Citrus hystrix) dan daun salam (Syzygium polyanthum) sebagai repelen alami terhadap P. americana. Penelitian menggunakan desain eksperimen murni dengan rancangan post-test only control group. Serbuk kedua jenis daun diuji pada dosis 7, 9, dan 11 g serta kontrol 0 g dengan enam kali pengulangan dan 10 ekor kecoa pada setiap unit percobaan. Respons penolakan diamati selama satu jam. Data perlakuan aktif dianalisis menggunakan Two-Way ANOVA dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Tukey HSD pada α=0,05. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata respons penolakan C. hystrix pada dosis 7, 9, dan 11 g masing-masing sebesar 7,17; 7,67; dan 9,17 ekor, sedangkan S. polyanthum sebesar 5,00; 6,00; dan 6,50 ekor. Jenis serbuk (F=51,735; p<0,001) dan dosis (F=11,327; p<0,001) berpengaruh signifikan terhadap respons penolakan, sedangkan interaksi keduanya tidak signifikan (p=0,410). Uji Tukey menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan antara dosis 7 dan 11 g (p=0,015). Serbuk C. hystrix menghasilkan respons penolakan lebih tinggi dibandingkan S. polyanthum, dengan respons tertinggi pada dosis 11 g. Kedua bahan berpotensi dikembangkan sebagai repelen nabati terhadap P. americana.
